Join us as we present three panels, each focusing on a different moment in feminist performance history. The first, “The Personal is Political (and Performable),” will examine feminist theatre groups active during the Second Wave Women’s Liberation Movement and will take place on Thursday, September 30th. The second, “Theatre in the Third Wave,” to be held on Tuesday, October 12th, will take up the feminist performance of the 80s and 90s. The third, “Performance in the Post-Wave Present,” will concern feminist theatre of the past ten years, and will take place on Thursday, November 18th. All the panels will be held on Zoom from 7p – 8.30p (ET). Three to five artists will participate in each panel, which will be moderated by a feminist theatre scholar. Pre-register for the events and for links to material to read and watch before the panels, and send us your questions. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, website

These panels are supported by Jame Madison University, *Cornell University, CloseToHome Productions and are hosted by Jessica Del Vecchio, Assistant Professor of Theatre, School of Theatre and Dance, James Madison University and Sue Perlgut, Filmmaker and founder of It’s All Right To Be Woman Theatre.

*As part of the rolling celebration of the 50th anniversary of Cornell’s women’s studies program, now Feminist, Gender and Sexuality Studies (FGSS), and the 30th anniversary of the university’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) studies program

This project is made possible, in part, with the funding from The Community Arts Partnership of Tompkins County.
